The state of Indiana is adding jobs at a record breaking pace so far this year.

So far, more than 170 companies have committed to expand or establish new business operations in the Hoosier State, totaling more than 17,000 projected new jobs.

By comparison, the state was showing around 11,000 new jobs this time last year. It is also more than any other year on record.

Companies expect to fill those jobs over the next five years. State officials credit the global campaigning from Governor Mike Pence as one key factor.
