Legendary Actress Lauren Bacall Dies after Suspected Stroke

Hollywood loses another legend today. Actress Lauren Bacall has died from a suspected stroke in New York City.

Bacall started as a model then appeared in her first film, 1944's "To Have and To Have Not" with Humphrey Bogart. The two would star together in more films such as "The Big Sleep" and "Dark Passage."

Bogart and Bacall would be married until Bogart's death from throat cancer in 1957.

Lauren Bacall was nominated for an Academy Award for best supporting actress for her role in "The Mirror has Two Faces."

She was 89 years old.
