New Illinois Law Protects Pregnant Women at Work

Some new protections for pregnant women working in Illinois. Governor Pat Quinn signed a law intended to prevent discrimination in the workplace.

It requires employers accommodate them, so they're not forced off the job. That includes limits on manual labor, time for frequent bathroom breaks, and space to breast feed.

The law takes effect in January.
