A crack in the floor was the first sign. Now, there's a giant sinkhole near this assisted living facility in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

The ground started to open up last week. By Friday, the state fire marshal said everyone needed to get out.

The owners say some people have lived at Gainsville Manor for 30 years or more. Luckily, no one was hurt.

A team of geologists and engineers are now working on a plan to fix the hole.
