The school says that "The Exponent" has filed suit for access to surveillance video of a confrontation between campus police and a photographer.
The video shows the photographer being pushed to the ground by an officer while trying to cover the murder of a student back in January. The photographer's equipment was damaged and taken by police.
The ACLU has filed the suit for the paper, saying the video was wrongly labeled as evidence of the crime scene. The group says the footage should have been released under public record access laws.
