W.H.O. Declares Ebola "International Health Emergency"
There are new developments in the ongoing ebola crisis.
The World Health Organization, Thursday night, declares the outbreak in West Africa, “an international health emergency, requiring an extraordinary response to stop it from spreading.”
The current outbreak is the largest and longest in history, and is responsible for about 1,000 deaths.
The 2 Americans who contracted the virus continue to undergo treatment at an Atlanta hospital.
Both have received an experimental serum, made right here in the tri-state.
All indications are that it's helping.
The Centers for Disease Control and prevention has already elevated their ebola response to the highest level and has recommended against traveling to West Africa.
