Slick spots throughout the Tri-State are creating some issues for drivers and walkers.
Todd Robertson, executive director of the Department of Transportation and Services, said the city still has a pretty good salt supply, but officials are using it conservatively. Robertson said they are only using salt on side streets on a case-by-case basis.
He said crews will be out Thursday night to pre-treat snow routes in preparation for a possible snow event in the near future.
City officials want to remind the public that it’s the responsibility of the home or business owner to clean up sidewalks in front of their property.
Representatives from St. Mary’s and Deaconess Hospital said they haven’t seen an increase in ice-related injuries.
