UE Baseball Player Arrested Overnight

- A University of Evansville baseball player trades play time for jail time Sunday after being arrested overnight.

Evansville police arrested 19-year-old Myles Pasley for spitting on an officer, public intoxication, and intimidation.

Investigators say Pasley was trying to force his way into a home in the 100 block of South Weinbach Avenue - and made threats against the homeowner.

The U.E. athlete apparently told officers he was kicked out of a party at that location - but it was the wrong house.

Officers say Pasley smelled like alcohol, had extremely slurred speech and had urinated on himself.

While en route to jail, investigators say he spit twice in the back of the squad car.
Once, the baseball player's spit hit the officer in the back of the neck.

According to the U.E. Athletics website, Pasley is a freshman outfielder for the Purple Aces.
