An Owensboro facility is part of the more than $2 billion sale that involves two of the largest food brands in the country.

Unilever announced they sold the Ragu and Bertolli brands to the Mizkan Group of Japan. The sale includes the processing and packaging facility on Ragu Dr. in Owensboro.

Unilever is also selling a tomato processing facility in California as part of the deal. Officials say the deal could be finalized by the end of June.

Still no word on how this will affect the workers at the Owensboro facility.
