The body has been identified as Catie McGill by the Vanderburgh County Coroner's Office.
The official cause of death is drowning.
A body has been discovered near a creek that feeds into the White River.
On December 29, Adam and Kathryn McGill were swept from SR 257 at the Pike-Daviess County line into flood waters of the White River.
Adam McGill was rescued by nearby hunters, but Kathryn was not found. Authorities have been searching for her body since the incident.
At about 1:45 p.m. a local resident discovered the body lying on top of some corn stalk debris near the mouth of a creek that feeds into the White River according to Indiana DNR.
This area was part of the initial search from December.
The body will be taken to the Vanderburgh County Morgue for examination and identification. An autopsy is scheduled for March 15.
