Evansville Police were called to the 4400 block of Fickas Road for a battery investigation.
We're told Vanderburgh County Sheriff deputies spotted the suspect trying to flee the area.
Warrick County authorities and the Indiana State Police joined in the chase as the man crossed into Warrick county.
ISP reports speeds exceeded 90 MPH during the pursuit.
We're told the suspect, Shawn Michael Bell, was eventually stopped and arrested in Spencer county where deputies deployed stop sticks.
Bell is in the Warrick County Jail, facing charges for criminal mischief, criminal recklessness with a vehicle and resisting law enforcement.
Investigators say Bell was tazed and bitten by a K-9 during the inicident.
EPD tells Eyewitness News it is working to get a warrant so Bell will be charged in Vanderburgh County for the original battery.
According to court documents, this isn't Bell's first time behind bars.
In July 2012, Bell was arrested for threatening to kill Becky Skillman, who, at that time, was Indiana's Lieutanant Governor.
He was arrested for intimidation, eventually plead guilty, and was sentenced to two years in the Indiana Department of Corrections.
In the summer of 2012, Bell's mother told us her son had serious mental problems, but didn't believe he was capable of hurting anyone.
According to Evansville Police, authorities were called to Bell's home Friday night for a domestic battery involving his sons.
We're told both victims are under the age of 14.
