The $1 trillion farm bill is on its way to President Obama to be signed into law. The Senate passed the bill today.

It sets five years of eating and farming policy in the U.S. It also increases spending on farmers markets and cuts the food stamp program.

Consumers will now have more information about the meats they buy. The farm bill requires details be included on the package of all beef, chicken, and pork sold in the U.S.
