A western Kentucky man is sentenced to 35 years in prison for gunning down his estranged wife in a fire department parking lot in Webster County.

Billy Utley appeared in Webster County Circuit Court this morning. He plead guilty to several charges including first degree manslaughter.

Back in June 2012, Kentucky State Police say Utley shot his estranged wife, Teresa Utley, in the parking lot of the Wheatcroft Volunteer Fire Department.

Utley was later arrested at a motel in Cave-in-Rock, Illinois.
