Victims' Identities Released in Fatal Crash

Eyewitness News has new information tonight on a deadly accident in Posey County.

It happened around 3:30 this afternoon on the Keck Bypass just north of State Road 62.

Indiana State Police say 57 year-old William Walker of Houston, Texas died when his car crossed the center line and struck an SUV head-on.

Witnesses told troopers Walker was driving erratically switching lane to lane.

State police say Walker was not his seat belt.

The driver of the SUV, 53 year-old James Rice of Mount Vernon, was taken to Deaconess Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

ISP says Rice was wearing his seat belt.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Todd Ringle reports a 57-year-old Texas man was killed in the accident on William Keck Bypass north of SR 62. He was driving lane to lane prior to the head-on crash.
Indiana State Police report a fatal crash on the William Keck Bypass north of SR-62 in Posey County. Sgt. Todd Ringle confirms one fatality. Authorities also say ISP and the Posey County Sheriff's Office are at the scene. Authorities are also asking drivers to avoid the area.
