When the US open plays out august 25th through September 8 in New York, the chief umpire will be someone from Newburgh, Indiana.

Woodie Walker, who's been officiating tennis since 1960, will be that chief umpire.

She was also chief umpire of the US Open from 1985 to 1988.

Walker has worked as a chair umpire or line umpire at Wimbledon and the French Cpen, as well.

At 84 years of age, she's as motivated as she's ever been to get back to the final major of the year.
