Webster County residents are raising concerns over FEMA flood maps. Several met with Congressman Ed Whitfield in Dixon this morning.

They're worried about the amount of flood insurance they've had to buy, some are spending thousands of dollars a year, and how the maps were drawn up.

"You can lead a horse to water, and they'll drink," said Tom Oldham. "But you can't force him to drink. I think it's wrong and getting more common everyday when our government forces us to pay out a big expense."

Whitfield told attendees the House of Representatives will be taking up issues over the flood plain maps next week.
