They're worried about the amount of flood insurance they've had to buy, some are spending thousands of dollars a year, and how the maps were drawn up.
"You can lead a horse to water, and they'll drink," said Tom Oldham. "But you can't force him to drink. I think it's wrong and getting more common everyday when our government forces us to pay out a big expense."
Whitfield told attendees the House of Representatives will be taking up issues over the flood plain maps next week.
