Zimmerman Recalls Trayvon Martin's Death

George Zimmerman is opening up about the night he killed Trayvon Martin seven months after he was acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter.

Zimmerman was a Neighborhood Watch captain at the time. He says he regrets going out that night and is now looking toward the future.

The Department of Justice is investigating any civil rights violations in the case, but says charges aren't expected. Zimmerman says he apologized to martin's family during a 2012 bond hearing and would like to apologize again.

Attorneys for Martin's family called the courtroom apology a self-serving act by a man facing a life prison sentence.
