Aces Keeping it Clean on Recruiting Trail

Not every college basketball program in the country is corrupt.

Since taking over as the University of Evansville head basketball coach, Marty Simmons has done things the right way when it comes to recruiting.

"We don't break rules," said Simmons.

"We don't take short cuts and that's really the way it's always been here."

A big reason why Simmons has kept the Aces program clean is the type of players he has recruited to UE.

"It takes someone that is a good person, that cares about academics, and that gives back to the community," said Simmons.

"I think when you do those things and when you have a culture like you do here, then good things are going to happen."

Coach Simmons and the Aces begin their 2017-18 season on November 10th, when they host Arkansas State.
