The Central Bears will be relying heavily on some untested talent for offense in 2014.  Graduated seniors Austin Fuchs and Avion Sullivan accounted for more than 4,300 yards of offense and 58 touchdowns in 2013.  Head coach Andy Owen is optimistic a young group of Bears can carry the load in the 2014 season.

The Bears are returning 20 seniors this season, so experience is there in the trenches. Three offensive line starters should bolster the running game and give the Bears new starting quarterback, either junior Noah Fuchs (Austin's brother) or senior Isiah Kemper, time to find open receivers. Jalen Smith returns as a weapon for the Bears. He accounted for 34 catches for more than 660 yards and eight touchdowns in his junior year. The defense also returns six starters, four of whom are defensive line starters.

Central opens the year with a road trip to North Oldham (KY) on August 22, before returning home to play Paoli on the 29th.
