Former Colt Will Take Wheel of Pace Car

A Former Indianapolis Colt Quarterback will lead the pack to the green flag for The Big Race.

Jim Harbaugh, who is currently the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, has been chosen to drive the pace car for this year's race. He was a Quarterback for the Colts from 1994-1997.

Harbaugh is also a big racing fan, and is co-owner of Panther Racing, which which has two cars in the field for Sunday's race.

"As a longtime racing fan and someone who has always followed the Indianapolis 500, the honor to drive the Pace Car comes as a tremendous thrill," Harbaugh said. "Doing it in the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray makes it even better. It's an iconic car leading an iconic race."
