Henderson Flash Enjoying Debut Season

Baseball has long been a staple in the tri-state, but this year marks the debut season for the Henderson Flash, a new collegiate wooden bat baseball team in Henderson, Kentucky.

The wooden bat league presents an opportunity for college players to keep in a baseball rhythm in their off season. It also works as a bridge for those who hope to play professionally because it eases the transition of switching from an aluminum bat to a wooden bat.

The Flash is a member of the Ohio Valley Collegiate Summer Baseball League.

Unfortunately, Henderson was not able to get the win on Sunday, falling to Fulton, 5-2. The Flash will be back in action at home on Tuesday.
