Kentucky Wesleyan Football Optimistic for 2017 Season

The Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers enter the 2017 season with lots of excitement and optimism, returning 15 starters from last season.

The Panthers are coming off a year where they went just 3-8, but this season, they're hoping to improve on that record.

One guy who won't be returning this season is former KWC and GMAC star Keelan Cole, who was drafted by Jacksonville and has had a nice debut for the Jaguars this preseason. Despite losing Cole, Panthers have a solid senior class with leadership that has impressed head coach Brent Holsclaw already this season.

Kentucky Wesleyan kicks off their 2017 campaign on Thursday on the road at Murray State.
