Kentucky wins close one against Duncan brothers, Vermont

With a 73-69 victory on Sunday, Kentucky picked up their second win of the season.

But it didn't come easy.

The Wildcats had to hold off a talented Vermont Catamounts team that had two chances to tie the game late in the second half.

Trailing 72-69, the Catamounts missed two three-pointers with less than 30 seconds left in the game.

The first miss was from Harrison graduate Ernie Duncan.

Duncan finished with 10 points, while his brother, Everett, tallied three points in the losing effort.

As for Kentucky, the Wildcats were led by PJ Washington, who finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
