UE's Connor Strain Drafted by Dodgers

The 2017 MLB Draft kicked off this week, and on Tuesday, Evansville's Connor Strain was picked up in the ninth round by the LA Dodgers.

In his five seasons with the Aces, Strain put up impressive numbers, finishing this season with a 2.62 ERA in 14 starts, the second-best in the Missouri Valley Conference. Strain was chosen First Team All-Conference and struck out 68 batters in just over 68 innings pitched. 

Strain was the 280th overall pick in the draft.
