USI and KWC Continue Impressive Seasons With Thursday Night Victories

A day after cracking the top five in the first NCAA Division II Regional rankings, both USI (#2) and Kentucky Wesleyan (#4) picked up wins on Thursday night.

For the Screaming Eagles (24-2, 14-2), they blew out the University of Illinois Springfield 90-57.

USI's Jeril Taylor finished with 22 points in the win, and notched his 1,000th career point as a Screaming Eagle in the process.

Alex Stein also finished with 23 points for USI.

Down in Owensboro, Kentucky Wesleyan (23-2, 10-0) shook off a slow first half to beat Cedarville 76-68.

With the win, the Panthers improved their home winning streak to 44 straight games, and their overall winning streak to 21 games.

Panthers guard Ken-Jah Bosley also made history on Thursday night. 

Bosley scored his 2,000th career point in the victory, becoming the first player to ever accomplish the feat in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
