The African American Museum in downtown Evansville is back open less than a week after a fiery crash right outside the front door.

Evansville Police were trying to stop a vehicle driven by Sean Whitlock. They say he was going more than 90 miles an hour on the south side then crashed right into the pillars and caught fire.

The museum had to close until their front entrance was secure and safe for visitors. The office manager says the museum is back to it's regular hours which is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
