Utility regulators will allow the Indiana-Michigan Plant to use what's known as a "dry sorbent injection."

Officials say this technology will remove some of the harsher things released into the air and also cut customer rates in the long run.

The Indiana-Michigan Plant operates in Rockport but does not supply power to southern Indiana.
