A lawyer for a former state lawmaker from Union County says the lawsuit against his client should be dismissed.

John Arnold's lawyer filed a response today to the lawsuit, accusing the former representative of sexual harassment. The lawsuit was filed by two capitol workers who say Arnold inappropriately touched them and made lewd comments.

Arnold resigned from office because of the allegations. A special election will be held to replace him December 10.
