Arrest Made in Counterfeit Money Ring

Evansville Police have made an arrest in the recent flood of counterfeit bills in the city.

Brian Acker is facing forgery charges after officers say they found $740 dollars in counterfeit $20 bills in his Jackson Avenue home.

Officers say they received a tip that Acker was involved in the recent increase of fake bills being circulated in the Evansville area.  Investigators believe Acker received the fake money from another person, but that he was aware that the money was counterfeit.

Police seized the suspected counterfeit bills.  The investigation into the counterfeiting operation is on-going and more arrests are expected.
