The parade will start in the Civic Center parking lot, turn on Ninth St., then head down Main St., and take a slight detour through a part of the Fantasy of Lights before ending up at Bosse Field.
But that's not the only change. Organizers say this year's parade will end with a bang.
"Choirs, bands, we will have concessions," said Parade Director Gail Knight Williams. "We will have cookies. We will have cocoa, lots of things, and of course Santa Claus. But the main thing is that we are going to have Christmas fireworks this year for all the family enjoyment."
The parade is on Sunday, November 24, at 3:30 p.m. Organizers are still accepting applications to participate.
