Christmas Eve Crash Kills One in Dubois County

Six people have now died in the last ten days on Dubois County roads.

UPDATE (3:57 p.m.): We have learned the person who died in this morning's crash in 18-year-old Alan Hopf from Huntingburg.

PREVIOUS: A three-vehicle crash on Huntingburg's north side has claimed the life of one person.

Huntingburg Police are not releasing many details about the crash.

It happened on US 231 (N. Main Street) near the Reflections Event Hall

This makes a total of six people who have lost their lives in traffic accidents in Dubois County in the last 10 days.

On December 16th, 21-year-old Mitchell Haas of Ferdinand died by drowning when the car he was in left the roadway near Schnellville and ended up in a creek.

Then on December 17th, 20-year old Jessica Morgan of Birdseye and 28-year old Eric Bureau of Dale killed in an accident near the Bretzville Junction. The driver, 20-year old Carlisha Dooley of Ferdinand is facing charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence causing a death.

On Saturday December 21st, 18-year-old Marcos Ayala of Huntingburg was driving on US 231 between Jasper and Huntingburg when he crossed over the center line striking and killing 49-year-old Earl CoX.
