Don's Claytons Coat-a-Kid campaign kicked off on Tuesday with help from the Evansville Icemen.
Last year's campaign collected a record 9,000 coats. Claytons owner Steve Schmitt says it was the first year every child recieved a coat.
"We need to make sure that the parents that cannot afford coats for these children that they're getting the coats that they need. we are very very proud to do this, my staff is very proud to do this. It's a lot of hard work but we want to do this every year", Schmitt said.
Dince the program began in 1986, Don's Claytons has cleaned more than 150-thousand coats.
