Convicted Murderer to be Sentenced Wednesday

An Evansville man's murder trial will officially come to an end on Wednesday when he learns his sentence.
An Evansville man's murder trial will officially come to an end on Wednesday when he learns his sentence.

Racxon McDowell's sentencing is scheduled to take place in a Vanderburgh County courtroom at 10:00 Wednesday morning, after being delayed last month.

McDowell was convicted in August of the 2012 murder of his girlfriend.

The 31-year-old was living with Rachel Lomax in an apartment on Evansville's west side when Lomax was was found beaten to death.
 
McDowell faces a maximum of 65-years in prison.
