A former Sheriff's Deputy in Central Indiana faces four counts of federal civil rights violations.
A former Sheriff's Deputy in Central Indiana faces four counts of federal civil rights violations.

Investigators say several people in Putnam County filed complaints that Terry Smith was violent during their arrests,    some of them say he punched or tased them after they were already restrained.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Department said Smith had been a deputy since 2010, but has been suspended without pay.
