Aces Fall to EKU, Still Take Series

Evansville couldn't get the bats working Sunday against Eastern Kentucky.
Left hander Cole Isom got the nod for the Aces Sunday in the final game of a three game set looking for a sweep over the Colonels of Eastern Kentucky.  Isom got chased in the top of the fifth inning after surrendering three runs. Brent Jurceka pitched well coming out of the bullpen, but the Aces couldn't get the offense going. They fall to the Colonels by the final score of 3-2.
Evansville falls to 15-9 on the year, but the Aces are winners of eight of their last eleven games. Next up, SIU Edwardsville Tuesday night at Braun Stadium. First pitch in that game is slated for 6:00pm CST.
