K.S.P. says when they arrived at the home just after 6 pm Tuesday night, Tommy Branson was inside his car, but returned to fire more shots into the home.
He drove into a Webster County deputy in the process.
Troopers fired shots at Branson's car, and he took off.
After a short pursuit, Branson was taken into custody on Kentucky 132 in Dixon.
He is now facing several charges, including 5 counts of attempted murder, with one being on the police officer.
That deputy was treated at Baptist Health in Madisonville and released.
