Beauty Pageant Scheduled to Benefit Fire Victims

A beauty pageant is scheduled to raise money for a Muhlenberg County father and daughter who lost nine members of their family in a fire.
A beauty pageant is scheduled to raise money for a Muhlenberg County father and daughter who lost nine members of their family in a fire.

Chad and Kylie Watson were severely burned and spent weeks in the hospital, after their house near Greenville, Kentucky burned down in January. Chad's wife and eight of their children were killed.

The benefit pageant is March 29th at the Merle Travis Center in Powderly at 1:00 p.m.

Girls and boys of all ages are invited to compete. Children will be competing for Overall Most Beautiful, Overall Personality, and Overall Shining Star. Registration begins at noon.

It costs $30 to enter and an extra $10 to be in the Overalls Competition, which is a total of $40 if registered by March 22. All winners will receive a tiara, trophy, and sash.
