Dan Adams Named New City Council Vice President

Evansville City Council has Elected its new vice president.

The Evansville City Council elects Dr. Dan Adams to serve as Vice President.

Adams replaces former Vice President Stephanie Brinkerhoff-Riley after the Councilwoman resigned last month over her recording a private meeting on the 2012 audit.

Adams served as Vice President last year.

He says being Vice President was not something he planned on doing again, but feels it was the right step to get the council back on track.

"Actually, it was pretty spontaneous. I was the Vice President last year and it was a fairly smooth course. I think they just wanted to get back to normalcy and play on," says Adams.

Stephanie Brinkerhoff-Riley had no comment regarding the decision.

Dr. Adams says its time to get back to business and put the Brinkerhoff-Riley controversy behind them.
