Suspicious Package Found Near Western Kentucky Bank

Multiple businesses and schools in Hopkins County are on lockdown after a suspicious package is found at a bank in Hanson, Kentucky
UPDATE:
The search continues for the man who planted three suspicious packages at a Hopkins County bank.

Hopkins County Sheriff Frank Latham says three devices were found at the U.S. Bank on Highway 41 in Hanson. It forced a nearby school to go into lock down and closed a busy intersection for nearly six hours.

Bomb squad robots disarmed the three devices, including one near the front door behind a cigarette butt tower.

The lock down at the school has been lifted, but Sheriff Latham says school buses were rerouted away from the intersection since it was still closed.

Multiple businesses and schools in Hopkins County are on lockdown after a suspicious package is found at a bank in Hanson, Kentucky. Earlier Monday morning Sheriff Frank Latham says a call came into U.S Bank on Highway 41 where a suspect demanded money. The bank and nearby businesses have all been evacuated. Hanson Elementary is about a thousand feet away, it is on lockdown. The FBI and Bomb squad units are en route. The suspect is described a white man wearing camouflage.

Multiple schools are on lockdown in Hopkins County after a suspicious package is found at the U.S Bank in Hanson, Kentucky. This bank is on Highway 60 close to Hanson Elementary. Reports are coming in that a threat was made to the bank early Monday morning and investigators are looking into a mysterious package. A handful of agencies are on scene and so is our crew.
