Brinkerhoff-Riley Says She Did Nothing Wrong

Evansville City Council Representative Stephanie Brinkerhoff-Riley says she did nothing wrong, and she would do it again.

Evansville City Council Representative Stephanie Brinkerhoff-Riley says she did nothing wrong when she secretly recorded a meeting, and she would do it again.

Brinkerhoff-Riley has come under fire in recent days after it was revealed she secretly recorded a meeting with several other council members, the Mayor, and a representative of the State Board of Accounts.  Brinkerhoff-Riley says the issue is not what she did, but rather why the city can't get a clean audit.

The 3rd Ward Democrat released a copy of the recording on her website.

Some council members have called on her to step down as Council Vice President, which she says she will not do.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke says the things Brinkerhoff-Riley is saying is blatantly wrong and the way she is going about it is wreckless. He is checking with the State Board of Accounts to see what the city can and cannot comment on.
