Firefighters were sent to Tri-state Resource Recovery in Evansville around 10pm Monday. That's on Harriet Street on the city's north-side. Employees say they reported the fire after seeing a bale of cardboard burning, the flames then spread to dozens of other bales. Firefighters say they got to the scene before the fire got out of control, they tell us the sprinkler system hadn't had time to activate. The fire was out in about 15 minutes and no one was hurt. Investigators are leaning towards sparks from the skids used to move the cardboard.
