Cats Fall in National Final 60-54

Kentucky Finishes Runner-up
With Shabazz Napier leading the way, UConn posted a wire-to-wire victory in the National Championship, 60-54 over Kentucky in Arlington, Texas.  UK, looking for its second National Title in three years, could not slow down the Huskies on a night when Napier poured in 22 points at AT&T Stadium.  James Young had 20 in a losing effort.  Kentucky caps the season with a record of 29-11 after playing as an eight seed against seventh-seeded UConn.  The Huskies were the first seven-seed ever to play for the National Title.
