The Evansville-Vanderbugh Emergency Management Agency has a new deputy director.

EMA Director Cliff Weaver selected Chad Woodburn for the position. He is a former Marion County Police officer and has served in the military.

Woodburn says he is looking forward to getting started.

"Feels great," said Woodburn. "I'm very humbled to have been asked by Director Weaver to be his deputy director, and I'm excited to get going and get working."

Weaver says now that all three positions have been filled, they'll basically be "starting over."

He says he's looking forward to EMA's move to its new location at the Vanderburgh County Jail next month.
