The feud between an Evansville city council member and the city's fire department continues as 6th Ward Councilman Al Lindsey is raising concerns over vacation time from Evansville Fire Department Brass.

According to documents obtained by Eyewitness News, three high ranking officials, Fire Chief Charles Connelly, Assistant Chief Paul Anslinger, and firefighter Dan Grimm carried over more vacation time from last year than they were allowed to, which could have cost the city $7,000.

The city says the mistake was made, but it was caught and corrected months ago.

Lindsay and Chief Connelly have been at odds since Connelly recommended Lindsey be fired. Now, Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke is not happy that this is even an issue.

He released this statement:

"It is unproductive that Al Lindsey is once again targeting the leadership of the Evansville Fire Department. Not only was Councilman Lindsey successful in reducing his boss's salary in the budget this year, but now is trying to use an issue that was corrected in February to embarrass the fire chief."
