Civic Center Makes Last Minute Preparations before Primay Elections

Indiana will hold its primary elections tomorrow.
Indiana will hold its primary elections tomorrow. As always, polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.

The Evansville Civic Center will be closed tomorrow. However, it was open today with employees in the county clerk's office making last minute preparations for Tuesday's voting.

Vanderburgh County Clerk Debbie Stucki says early primary voting is typically very low and this year is no different.

"Not a whole lot of public interest it seems like," said Stucki. "Or a lot of people haven't even heard much in the media or the newspaper."

A couple races that are drawing interest in Vanderburgh County: incumbent County Commissioner Marsha Abell faces a challenge from Bruce Ungethiem, while John Montrastelle tries to unseat incumbent Republican Pete Swaim as District 4 county councilman.
