The contract between the two expires at 11:59 p.m. this evening. Both sides say negotiations continue, but so far no agreement has been reached.

Members of the Steelworkers Union say no decision has been made about what might happen if an agreement is not reached by midnight, but they say they are preparing to go on strike if that is what leaders decide to do.
