For the first time in about eight years, the Curtis Building sign is shining bright again.

A sign lighting celebration was held tonight, and the switch was flipped at 8:14 p.m., matching today's date.

The sign caused controversy in the mid-1990's, when some believed it was too large.

Stacy Stevens bought the building in 2012 and was determined to get the sign working again.
