Dawson Springs Unveils New Trail Town Signs

Dawson Springs and Livingston have been designated Kentucky Trail Towns by the Tourism, Arts, and Heritage Cabinet's Office of Adventure Tourism.
A big milestone for two western Kentucky communities. Dawson Springs and Livingston have been designated Kentucky Trail Towns by the Tourism, Arts, and Heritage Cabinet's Office of Adventure Tourism.

New highway signs were unveiled this morning in Dawson Springs. Kentucky Trail Towns is a community development program that will help communities connect to their trail systems and develop and enhance town products and services.

The mayor of Dawson Springs says this will help promote the town's outdoor adventure.

"Signage is a huge tool," said Mayor Jenny Sewell, "and we are so thrilled with it. And yes, a sign can do wonders for us. So, it is kind of a spring kickoff for 2014 in Dawson Springs Trail Town."

Livingston's new highway signs were unveiled on Tuesday.
