Owensboro Police arrest three people in connection with a drug trafficking ring.

Police arrested Haley Lyons, 26, Carl Hanley, 32, and Jessica Heichelbech, 26, all of Owensboro, this afternoon.  The three each face three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance.  Owensboro Police say they allegedly illegally distributed more than 50,000 prescription pills in Owensboro.  Owensboro Police, Kentucky State Police, and DEA agents executed search warrants at Don & Daisy's Pharmacy Plus on West Byers Avenue and at two homes on Thursday.  Investigators say the owners and pharmacists at Don & Daisy's had no knowledge of the drug trafficking and weren't being investigated.  Police also charged Heichelbech with possession of marijuana.
