Early Morning Standoff in Henderson

An alleged domestic dispute lead to stand-off and a man barricades himself in a home.
Allegations of domestic violence lead to a standoff involving a knife-wielding suspect in Henderson.

This happened in the 300 block of Racetrack Road in Henderson, right off of the HWY-41 strip.
Around 4:00 Sunday morning, officers were dispatched to a local gas station where a woman was claiming her boyfriend, Larry Rigdon, had assaulted and threatened her.
When officers arrived to the home, they say Rigdon picked up a knife and barricaded himself inside.
HPD negotiators tried to get him to come outside, but he stopped commuicating with them.
The emergency response team then entered the house and found Rigdon with self-inflicted injuries.
He faces a number of charges for this incident; but also has outstanding warrants from another county.
He was taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment for his injuries.
